Listing corrections & removal

Our listings come from open map data, so sometimes a store has moved, closed, or has the wrong phone number. Here’s how to fix it.

Who can ask

  • Store owners and managers: any change, including adding or removing your store.
  • Anyone: report a store that has closed, moved, or has wrong details.
  • Individuals: if a listing exposes your personal information (for example a home address of a home-based business), ask us to remove it. These requests are handled as privacy requests under our Privacy policy.

How to ask

  1. Open the store’s page and copy the URL. The store ID is the part after /store/ and before the first dash.
  2. Use the claim or correct a store form and choose what you need: correct details, mark closed, or remove. Or email info@autopartsnearme.com.
  3. Tell us what’s wrong and how we can verify it (for example the store’s website, or an email from the business domain).

What happens next

  • We acknowledge requests within 5 business days and usually publish fixes within 14 days, at the next site build.
  • Corrections and removals are saved in a permanent overrides list that is applied on every rebuild, so a data refresh won’t bring back an error we’ve fixed.
  • We may decline requests we can’t verify, or ask for more information. Owners can’t remove truthful listings of operating public businesses just to hide them from customers, but we will always fix factual errors.
  • Privacy-related removals are handled within the deadlines in our Privacy policy.

Fix it at the source

Because much of our data comes from OpenStreetMap, fixing your store there also updates many other apps and maps. See Data sources.
